Jorge Hernandez was delighted to accept the Johnson Space Center (JSC) 8(a) Contractor of the Year award on March 25, 2008 at the Government Procurement Connections Awards ceremony in Houston, Texas. JSC presented the distinguished award to Bastion in recognition of the high quality work performed at the Center. Bastion currently holds three prime contracts and eight subcontracts that support almost every JSC Directorate, Division, and Office. Debra Johnson, JSC's Director of the Office of Procurement, stated that Bastion is being honored for its excellent performance in developing and maintaining the Space Program Integrated Contract Environment (SPICE) database in support of major NASA programs.
