Sample Analysis at Mars (SAM)
Bastion provides support for Sample Analysis at Mars (SAM) instrument suite on board the Mars Science Lab Rover, including integration and testing, Gas Chromatograph (GC), Quadruple Mass Spectrometer (QMS), and Tunable Laser Spectrometer (TLS) new technology research to improve information sharing.
Magnetosphere Multi-Scale Mission (MMS)
Bastion's team provides stress and thermal analysis (Dual Electron Mass Spectrometer) and mechanical design (Instrument and Avionics Deck) for the Magnetosphere Multi-Scale Mission (MMS).
Orion Space Vehicle Mockup Testing Support at NBL/SVMF
Bastion provides full support for the Orion Space Vehicle Mockup at the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory/Space Vehicle Mockup Facility (NBL/SVMF).
ISS 3D Modeling
Bastion performed hardware modeling and assembly for primary and secondary ISS structures. The team provided operational tolerance analysis for launch and on-orbit operations of structures and mechanisms, and performed 3D solid modeling of Extravehicular Activity (EVA) components.
Lunar Habitat Mockup
Bastion's mechanical engineering team designed and manufactured a human-rated, electrically conductive habitat mockup for use at Johnson Space Center to evaluate candidate wireless technologies for International Space Station and other habitat modules.
