DEDICATION TO SPACE PROGRAM EARNS BASTION SMALL DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD
Jorge Hernandez, President of Bastion Technologies, Inc. (Bastion), was notified on May 1, 2007 that his company was chosen as the recipient of the United Space Alliance (USA) 2006 Small Disadvantaged Business of the Year. Through its Supplier of the Year Awards Program, USA representatives honor superior companies, which are a part of USA's extremely strong supplier base.

Robert Schulz of USA nominated Bastion citing its significant contributions to USA's successful Space Flight Operations Contract performance in support of NASA. Bastion and USA built a customer-supplier relationship in 2002 that has grown to include a diverse range of integrated electronic documentation services, including graphic design, web design and development, technical writing and editing, computer-aided design and engineering services, configuration management support, and information management solutions.

Linda Retherford, Program Manager for Bastion's Integrated Documentation Services subcontract for USA, commented, "It's wonderful to be a part of the USA team and know that our achievements and support are recognized by our customers. On every task, our main goal is to achieve customer satisfaction." Linda will attend the USA Supplier Symposium on July 17-19, 2007 to accept the award on behalf of Bastion.

In addition to supporting the Shuttle and Space Station programs through SPOC, Bastion also provides documentation and graphics services to USA's corporate needs. Plans are in place for Bastion to support a variety of information management and engineering tasks for the Constellation and Crew Exploration Vehicle efforts in the vision for exploration and space flight initiatives.
