The Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) Initial Deployment training program provides the delegate with the knowledge and understanding of the particular hazards and properties of a Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) and appropriate emergency response actions to take should the requirement for emergency use arise.
This course is comprised of classroom and practical exercises in a dry training environment.
Delegates must possess a valid BOSIET/FOET/HUET or T-BOSIET/T-FOET/T-HUET certificate.
This course is intended for all personnel who may be transported via helicopter while working in the UK sector.
The syllabus consists of the following training components:
Introduction to Compressed Air Systems
Difference between using a re-breather and compressed air systems
Advantages and disadvantages of using a CA-EBS
Hazards associated with a CA-EBS
Review critical components of the CA-EBS
Pre-flight inspection of equipment
In Class demonstration of proper use
Hands on practice donning required gear and utilizing CA-EBS
A written and practical exam is administered to evaluate student retention of information. Successful candidates will receive a certificate.
